Eating Out of Bowls

I have to say…I like bowls a lot more than plates.

I know this is a weird statement to even make, but I like how secure everything is when its in a bowl compared to a plate!  Especially for us spill prone people, bowls are better.

Here are my meals over the past 24 hours that I have been eating out of bowls!  My lunch was also eaten out of a bowl but I didn’t snap a picture.  It was just a lean cuisine (borrrrrringggg).

Yesterday’s Breakfast:

Dinner: Pot roast and brown rice…

Also, dessert was ice cream and milk…also eaten out of a bowl.

Breakfast today…

It looks like I drowned my oats in maple syrup but really it was just a drizzle…a few tablespoons tops!  It just sits on top of the oats so it pools up.  I stir it in though and then its normal and not like oatmeal cereal in maple syrup.  Although I don’t think that would be a bad thing necessarily…

Another Monday, friends…but at least that means its the start of another week that gets us closer to FALL and COOLER TEMPS!  I cannot wait for that!

Anyone else have a preference for bowls over plates or vice-versa??  I also like plates if they have a little wall border so I feel like my food won’t fall off.  That would be devastating.

PS DON’T FORGET TO HEAD OVER TO MEALS & MOVES FOR THE GREAT FUNDRAISING ACT….BID ON SOMETHING YOU LIKE 🙂 There are over 200 items up for bid!!

Cheese, Wine, & HP time.

Last night it got to be about 8 o’clock and I still hadn’t had dinner yet.  Mav and I went on a longer walk around 7 so by the time I got back I figured I should make a little something.

That little something was some cheese, crackers, and chardonnay 🙂

What?  That’s a totally acceptable dinner in my opinion.

I am also SO JEALOUS of everyone who went to see Harry Potter already.  I will either be going later today or tomorrow most likely.  I want to re-watch the past two movies just so everything is fresh.  Wish I had started earlier and had just read the books again instead!  If you have never read the Harry Potter books, you are missing out.  Seriously…get on that.

I even plan to wear my Harry Potter Triwizard Tournament Jersey to the movie…

I got it from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando when Mike and I went last year.  It’s pretty awesome, I know.

Anyways, this morning was even cooler that yesterday!  It was about 60 degrees when I woke up around 6:45.

I sat on the porch and enjoyed some coffee then took Mav on a 2 mile walk.  Then I went back out on my own and did a 3.5 mile run.  It felt so glorious outside…I realize its middle of July but I am SO EXCITED for fall!  It’s my fave 🙂  Normally its so hot out I can’t stand laying out but I might attempt to get some sun today if the temperatures are more bearable!

After my walk/run I took a shower then made some oats.  This bowl was super creamy and sweet!  No toppings except a tablespoon of sugar free maple syrup.

Maybe my oats are always this creamy but I can never tell because I put so many other toppings on it!  I loved this bowl!  I made it with more almond milk than normal so that could be why.

I’ll be back soon with a post dedicated to THE GREAT FUNDRAISING ACT and my item that will be up for bidding!

Any other cheese/crackers/wine lovers out there?  I know I’m not the only one who finds that a perfectly wonderful dinner.

If you’re a Harry Potter fan, what Hogwarts house would you be in?  I feel 90% of people might say Gryffindor…which is my answer also.  But I took a quiz on Facebook that told me I’d be in Gryffindor so obviously that’s a valid source.  However, if I wasn’t in that house, I’d wanna be in Slytherin, evil as it may be.  Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw are just so….boring.
