FITspiration Friday: ABS

In honor of the fact that we all have ripped abs now after our 500 challenge from yesterday (if only!), here are today’s fit pics with some tight and toned tummies.  I think some of these pictures are going to make me want to do the 500 challenge everyday!  But I won’t because I don’t like to work the same muscle group two days in a row.  Speaking of, I am really sore today especially in my upper abs but not feeling it much in my lower abs!  May need to do some more moves today to target those.  Also, I wanted to share this article by JillFit with her 5 Top Tips for Sculpted Abs. She is awesome so I recommend going to check out her site.  Lots of great info there!

The guy in the pic above is actually my uncle’s trainer in NYC…Mark (my uncle) asked if I wanted to go workout with him last weekend when I was in the city and I was too scared to go! But he actually won the Wilhemina Model Search and you may see him in tons of health and fitness publications now. Here’s Mark beasting out a workout but this is exactly why I didn’t go…wasn’t mentally prepared to get destroyed.

Right now I am actually kind of regretting not going!  An ass-kicking is great once in a while and I could probably use a workout like that.

Okay well I am definitely feeling motivated for a hardcore workout right about now…anyone else?!

What is your workout today?  What is the hardest workout you have ever done?!  I don’t know off the top of my head but I am sure that the hardest workout I ever did was something concocted by Brian during summer workouts to get in preaseason shape for soccer.  Pretty sure it included endless 400s and stadium stairs.  Aka death.

FITspiration Friday + Yummy Oatmeal

Happy Friday!!!  Time for some FITspiration!  But first, my delicious oatmeal from yesterday and today:

Yum!  Perfect bowls (tupperwares?) of oats.

Oh and one more thing, I went on a run last night with Maverick after work and since it was around 5:30 or so it was already dark.  And cold.  So I had on running tights, gloves, ear wrap, etc.  Well, alot of sidewalks around here are uneven, I guess being thrown off by roots underneath or from weather, but I am well aware of this fact.  I made a mental note as I jumped over a sidewalk sticking out that I needed to be careful about it.

It took 3 more minutes after that stellar mental note for me to eat shit on the sidewalk.  Seriously I wiped OUT!  I have fallen plenty of times in my day, but never just out on a casual run!  Luckily, the gloves protected my hands from getting too skinned up, I was able to catch myself before my face hit the pavement, and the running tights helped my knee out a little bit.  It still got bruised and cut but it would have been much worse without those on!  Since I was running with Maverick, he didn’t notice I had tripped at first and he kept running, which with his size meant that he would drag me just a tiny bit before he realized.  Oh life.

I instantly wished one of my friends had been there to laugh at me…I couldn’t decide if I wanted to laugh or cry!  Anyways, that totally deflated me and I didn’t feel like running anymore so I quit and walked home.  Womp Womp.  (My pride was hurt more than anything.)

At least since it was dark I don’t think anyone saw me! Haha.

Feel free to be amused with my clumsiness and start your Friday off with a laugh…I won’t be offended 🙂
